CRUISING NEAR THE POLE
It is perhaps not known that every year the Hudson's Bay Company run their steamer Nascopie from Montreal and Halifax to Hudson's Bay, and to trading points further north. This year, the Nascopie leaves Montreal on July 13, returning to Halifax on September 24, visiting some twenty-two ports of call, and going as far north as Craig Harbour in Baffin Bay, which is rather under 800 miles from the North Pole.
