NEA LAP IN AMERICA

News rof Phar Lap's sister Nea Lap, who was sent from New Zealand to the United States towards the end of 1932,' has been received in Sydney. The advice states that Nea Lap foaled a handsome chestnut filly by The Porter at Mr. John Hay Whitney's Kentucky farm on April 23. The foal is considered to be one of the best of the season at the farm, and the men there report :that Nea Lap is making a splendid mother. This is her first foal, but she slipped twins last year.

The Porter is a small, powerfullybuilt horse, and was a first-class racer for five seasons in America. He is by Sweep, son of Ben Brush, and his best to race has been Toro, who was out of a mare by Radium, sire of Night Raid.
