CROQUET AT HATAITAI
MUNICIPAL CLUB
The fourteenth annual meeting of the Hataitai Municipal Croquet Club was held recently, Mrs. Brittain (vice-presi-dent) presiding. The report .and balance-sheet were read and adopted, and showed the club to be in a satisfactory position.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. Huggins; vice-patrons, Messrs. Gaudin, Brice, Brittain, Moeller, Cox, and Chambers; president, Mrs. Brittain; vice-president, Mrs. Moeller; hon. secretary, Mrs. Richardson (re-elected); hon. treasurer, Mrs. Chambers (reelected); captain, Mrs. Brice (re-elect-ed); auditor, Mr. Bayfeild; committee, Mesdames Thomas, Brighting, Chisholm, Wellings, Cox, Scott, and Penney; sports committee, Mesdames Thomas, Moeller, and Brittain; delegates to the association, Mesdames Brice and Richardson.
A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring president It was stated that the steady improvement of the lawns should make the play most enjoyable in the coming season.
