PAGE—ZOHRAB.

A beautiful wedding of wide interest and the first to be solemnised at St. Mary's Churcliroom, Silverstream, was that of Joan Miriam, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. G. F. Zohrab, Silverstream, and Paul Stuart, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. F. M. Page, of Eketahuna, this afternoon. The Rev. J. L. Kayle (Waihi) was the officiating minister. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Dr. Zohrab, wore a beautiful gown of deep cream velvet which had flowers of the same material round the square neck line. The skirt formed a long train. The lovely muslin veil, which was lent by a friend, was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of deep cream roses. The three bridesmaids, Miss Mabin, Miss Penelope Blundell, and Miss Margaret Miller, wore frocks which were replicas of the bride's except that they were of deep bottle green velvet. Their bouquets were of vivid pink cyclamens. Afterwards a reception was held at Mrs. Zohrab's home, "Girliston," Silverstream. The beautiful grounds, with their sloping lawns and English trees, looked delightful in today's beautiful autumn sunshine. Tubs of yellow chrysanthemums surrounded the house, and the bride and groom greeted the guests on the steps of the house. Inside were lovely fires in all the rooms, which were most beautifully decorated with shaded pink roses, cyclamen and maidenhair fern. The bride's table looked delightful. The cake had three rows of tightlypacked pink roses banked at its base, and all along the table were rows of pink roses. • A plateglass window, through which could be seen a lovely view of the garden, formed a background to the bridal party. Mrs. Zohrab received the guests. She wore a handsome black marocain and cream lace gown. Mrs. Page, mother

of the bridegroom, wore black tulip | lace with velvet trimming and a hat | to match. The bride travelled in a charming tunic frock of dusky pink, which was trimmed with brown. She wore a brown hat and accessories. Among the guests were:—Miss Zohrab (Everton Terrace), Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Zohrab, Mr. Mabin, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Mabin, Miss F.
