HOME FOR AGED NEEDY
The Primrose,Girls' Juvenile Orange Lodge, assisted by friends, gave an entertainment and supper to the residents of the Home for Aged Needy on Tuesday evening; and, being the occasion of their first public' appearance, •the efforts of the members of the lodge were greatly appreciated.. Sister P. Sims presided. The programme consisted of pianoforte solos, Scottish costume dancing, songs, choruses, and community singing. Mr. G. Petherick, Past Grand Master of the Lodge, and chairman of the Board of'Trustees of the Home, returned thanks on behalf of the residents to those who had taken part in the'entertainment. On Thursday afternoon,tl|ie ; ,residents were guests of the WiSUngtatf Rotary Club in a motor, driye^to Maori Bank. The function, which was organised by Mr. J. Rod, is" a yearly event, and is looked forward'.ta .with eager,anticipation. The weather was finejv- afternoon tea was provided. ,The ing supplied cars:-r-Messrs. J. Jones, R. Hurn, Ferguson, Dallard, Norwood, Walker, J. Rod, Watt, Todd, Riddell, Mesdames Taylor and Ingersoll.
