BOARD OF CONTROL
At the weekly meeting of the Board of Control of the Wellington Rugby League it was decided that the competition for the Walmsley Shield should commence today. ' . Mr. E. Elliott was appointed treasurer. " A club submitted a registration from a southern player of another code, but it was understood that this player was still under disqualification, and' the' board refused to accept the registration until the true facts were ascertained. The clubs were- to be informed that players disqualified from other sporting bodies for unsportsmanlike, conduct would not be admitted to the Rugby League code.
The Central Club was granted permission to use vhe Stadium ground r>n Monday from 3 p.m. All clubs reported growth in membership, and it was hoped to start a reserve grade at an early date.
