NEW TALENT PROMINENT

Two of the local harrier clubs held their initial races last' Saturday under ideal - The University Club's maiden race drew large entries, and last times were recorded by IX K. Scrymgequr, W. Lang,- as well as by some.of last season's stalwarts. A. G. Horiley ahdv J. Cx. Oliver, who finished, fourth?-and sixth respectively,1 put up' particularly gobd: performances. . The.Olympic harriers held two races over a'hillyA'course of about 2£ miles. The maiden race went to a first-year' runner, Patrick, who showed a fine, turn of speed.. D. Sunderland secured fastest time, and, as he be available for interclub racing this season, he should be an asset to the .club's team. The President's handicap was won by Richardson, another young member who has. graduated from; the colis' pack.
