ARCUS—JONES.

An evening wedding was solemnised recently in. St. Andrew's Church, The Terrace, when Norma MacLeod; only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Jones, Hataitai, was married to William John, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Arcus, Hataitai: The ceremony wasperfqrriied by the' Revl D. D.: Scott, with: Mr.? Thomas at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of tlie bride, the flowers being many hued chrysanthemums, lace bark, zinnias,. and roses, with a pretty white bell over the altar. :\:.' The bride, entering on the arm of her father, wore a gown of cream chantilly lace over magnolia satin with a wide circular - train and shoiilder ■ frill of close-pleated georgette finished with a knot of orange blossoms',charming in its classic simplicity. A long Brussels net veilrembroidered- with satni'roses and pleated!into an orange blossom halo,,cream and .silver ihoes,'and an arm 'shower of carnations; roses, and maidenhair fern, a gift from.Miss' A. Mr. Harold Thompson was best man, and Mr. Arnott Arcus groomsman. Mr. Donald Arcus and Mr. Donald Furrie acted as ushers. ■

On Leaving the church' Mr. and Mrs. Arcus were presented with ': a lucky horseshoe.

The reception was.held in Kirkcaldie and Stains, which was attractively dejeorated for the occasion, Mrs. W. D. Jones, mother of the bride, and Mrs. J. L. Arcus, mother of the bridegroom, [receiving the ;guests.» ■■■
