Walton and Miss Walton (Timaru), after leaving the Ormonde, spent a month on the Continent, seeing Italy, Switzerland, and Holland on their way to London. ''.At the Scala Opera House in Milan they attended the opening performance of "Orpheus," where the scene was a brilliant one While at The Hague they had the good fortune to see the famous flower show which takes'place only once in ten jears, and which -is visited by hortil.culturists from all, parts of the world. Mrs. and Miss Walton decided to cross to England to make their reservations ;.fpr, the various functions of the season, and-haying'done this they are Easter tour in Ger!;many^'the Rhinelahd, and the.Austrian Tyrol;.'.accompanied by Miss Elsie M. Miss Pamela Fell (Nelson) is staying in Dundee with her sister, Mrs. Bernard Thorns. When she returns to London ...at;the end. of the month she will take, a year's course 'of study at the Triangle Secretarial College, South Molton Street.

'' Mrs, W. A. O!Callaghan. (Hawera) is spending some time with her sister, Mrs. Russell, at • North Mimms, in Hert- ■ fordshire, Lter they will both go abroad, for a. Continental tour. Mrs. O'Callaghan has numerous relatives in the Mother Country, all of whom she hopes td see before going back-to New Zealand in September.

Miss M.. E. Barrer (Masterton) is on" a holiday trip which will extend over at least seven months. Tours will be made in England.^Scotland, Ireland, and ,Wales. Later a tour will be, made to the Continent, and Miss Barrer will attend the" League of Nations Union Congress in Brussels. In-that city also she will, visit various members of an International Friendship Club to whicn she belongs. As a good deal of travel by air js contemplated: there will be more .time to see the places of interest.
