PALMERSTON NORTH SALE
At the monthly sale of wool, sheepskins, hides, and tallow, conducted by Abraham and Williams, Ltd., at Palmerston North, competition was. very - animated from all sections of the trade. Wool: Finer sorts were, firm to %d dearer and crossbreds were firm to %d dearer. Sheepskins:; Fine woolled skins appreciated %d per lb and-coarser skins advanced %d to Id. '■ Pelts and damaged skins;were very-firm to ld v better. Hides: Oxhides depreciated in value l-8d to ViA per Tb,. while heavy, and medium cow were firm to %d lower. Light cow, however, were firm,to .%d dearer. Calfskins were %d lower. Tallow: The market was very firm. ' ' ■
