KING REY'S PROSPECTS
King Rey is freely nominated for the Te Kuiti Meeting at Te Rapa, and such is his present fitness that he will have to be treated with eijery respect in whichever event it is decifled to start him in hack or open company. His fine showing in the tden Handicap at Ellerslie in which he ran the lightweight. Royal Secret, to a ( length in the excellent time of lmin 38sec. jand his subsequent success with 9.9 on the I first day of the Avondale Meeting, indicate that he is a hack above the average. However, he has failed to show out on heavy tracks, and in the event of holding conditions pertaining here this aspect should not De overlooked in summing up his chance. ,
