FOR STEEPLECHASING

Ganpat has been working along satisfactorily during recent weeks and in all probability will be seen out at the Te Rapa -Meeting. The Lord Quex gelding was raced at Tauranga after a lengthy spell ( but did not. show up too well. However, there seems every likelihood of his beinc 111 much better, fettle at Te Rapa. Ganpat will be tried as a steeplechaser this month and his debut in this department will create interest. He is doing plenty of long work. A couple of winters back this jumper gave great promise as a hurdler, but he then went off the scene for some time.
