MILLER—NEWMAN. . The marriage took place recently at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Cashel Street, Christchurch, of Margaret Kate, elUer daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Newman, Brooklyn, Wellington, to Wilfred Maxwell, third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Miller, LytteUon. The Rev. Allan :Watson officiated, and the organist was Mr. Arthur Lilley. " v. .L : The bride's close-fitting frock was of ivory satin, made with a cowl neckline, the fitting sleeves and back of the bodice being finished with tiny satin buttons. The skirt formed a long train. She carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums and begonias. Mr. Newman escorted his daughter, who was attended by her sister, Miss Florence Newman, and Miss Eva Miller, sister of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids wore shell-pink georgette frocks patterned in white floral design, and hats to tone. Their bouquets were of, pink chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Felix Hart as best man, and Mr. R. P. Miller was groomsman. A reception was, held at Dixieland, where the bride's mother received the guests. She was wearing a grey suit, with a navy hat and an ermine necklet Her bouquet was of pink fuchsias. A brown suit and a brown hat were worn by the bridegroom's mother, who carried a bouquet of; lemon azaleas. The bride travelled in a-tweed suit and a hat to tone. • , r
