LONDON, April 20,
Mr. Harold Pemberton, a "Daily Express" special correspondent who was lately in Abyssinia, where he interviewed the Emperor, describes from Rome how Signor Mussolini invited him to the Italian Foreign Office and interviewed him, "rapping out questions with the precision of a machinegun." He told Signor Mussolini that his impression was that tha Emperor wanted peace and would grant all demands approved by the Leagues arbitrators. Signor Mussolini's only comment was that the situation was serious and he explained thax Italy was occupying only a small area o* ground in SomaliJand, which was badly placed strategically. Her troops were only a precautionary measure.
