It is understood thai | Dr. Walsh is at present on a visit home [ The discovery is the result of six years Investigation and concerns emulsified olive oil, injections of which apparently have power to absorb and' ren der harmless toxins produced in the blood in acute bacterial disease. It is stated thljt the doctors have been able in 20 cases of lobar pneumonia to short. en the duration of hospital treatment by nearly half and reduce the period of convalescence even more. Encourag' ing results have also been obtained in cases of rheumatic fever, erysipelas and septicaemia. ■>
