LONDON'S LATEST MURDER MYSTERY

■■: The mystery of legs in a train is the latest murder problem confronting the police. The discovery of' a man's legs, skilfully severed at. the knee, in a brown paper parcel under the seat ot a suburban train at Waterloo on February. 25 led to police activity all the week, resulting, after the examination, of hospitals and mortuaries, in an announcement today, that there are no grounds for suspecting a grim . hoax, which is the only alternative to murder.
As a description of the possible appearance of the victim, following the medical examination of the legs, it is suggested that he was-between 20 and 3ft years and about sft Bin tall, slim, and possibly a dancer, as the toes were contracted owing to tight-fitting shoes.
