A SPANISH PRINCESS

The Infanta Beatrice, eldest daughter of the ex-King of Spain, now married to Prince Alessandrio Torlonia, of Italy, will, live in a magnificent home. The Roman. Palazzo of the Torlonias was built in the fifteenth century by one of the most impressive of the cardinals of that period. At his death the palace was, strangely enough, acquired by King Henry VIII' of England, as a residence for a representative of England, in the days before King Henry's break with the Pope. . After the Reformation it came into the possession of the Torlonias. Princess Beatrice, who is 25 years old, had as a very young girl the reputation of being somewhat of a tomboy, and it is said that the rather stiff Court of Spain was: somewhat shocked by some of her pranks. Since the Spanish Royal Family made their home in England the Infanta Beatrice, with her sister, the Infanta Marie Christina, have made, it is reported from England, a happy little circle of friends for themselves in London society. Prince Alessandrio Torlonia's mother, by the way, was formerly an American, Miss Elsie Moore, of New York.
