The excellent weather lent an added charm to the trip, swimming ■ being the popular sport. Among those present were Misses Hungerford, Horton, Banner, H. and R. Stevens, Wood, Messrs. Barton, who leaves-for a trip abroad this month, was the guest of honour at an enjoyable bridge party given by Mrs. Card, Mayoress of Featherston, at her residence, "Awai hoU." Mr. G.S. Sharp won.the first - '-. prize, and Mrs.! Algar Williams the con- ■ solation. A dainty supper was served it in the dining room, where a competiv tion; "Lucky Cups," was won by.Mrs. , 1 W. Barton.
