MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE

NAPIER, This Day. : The. hearing began before Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court today of a manslaughter charge against Maurice James Brooker, indicted for unlawfully assaulting Wilfred Farquharson, who died as the result of injuries received allegedly as a result of being struck by Brooker. • The evidence showed that Farquharson.accompanied a young lady named Perrin to her home on Christmas Eve, and that the accused, who had been engaged to her, met them at the gate of her home, striking Farquharson,
