CENTENARY CROQUET

MELBOUENE, January 29. Tho international open croquet "championships concluded today, when J. 0. Windsor (Australia) . won the open singles from Poulter (England), and Mrs. Terry' and Windsor won the doubles from Miller and Hunt (Australia). The first Test, England v. Australia and New Zealand, begins on Friday. A sensation wag caused in the doubles when Windsor called "foul" after a shot by Hunt, and, after consulting his partner, walked off; the, green. Windsor, seeing Hunt thought he had played a clean stroke, forfeited his next stroke, but Millor instructed Hunt not to continue the break and to tetiro to tho first corner. The oppononts did not call tho referee, and the game was lesumodj but Hunt was little interested in' tho subsequent play.
