WILL DOMINIONS SHARE?
FULL BURDEN TOO HEAVY
FOR BRITAIN ALONE
(Boceivcd January 30, 1 p.m.) LONDON, January 29.
i Tho Australian Press .Association understands that the principal object of the Williamson-Campbell mission will be to learn the financial extent to which |the Dominions and colonies are propared toco-oporate hi a scheme'to introduce a flat rate for an Empire-wide air mail at ljd a half-ounce. It is pointed out that Britain, while willing to proceed on that basis ag soon as is practicable, cannot shoulder tho full burden, as unless tho outward and homeward mails are charged at a comparable rate, homeward-bound air-liners would not be sufficiently loaded to justify the heavy exponso of the scheme.
