BRIEF STRIKE SETTLED.

SYDNEY, This Day.
Tt is reported that about 150 stewards and cooks went on'strike at tlie Quarantine station, whore the Aorangi's passengers aro detained. Tho strike is .probably the first of its kind*that has taken place in a quaiantine station. Tho stewards and cooks, who are members of the Aorangi's crew, demanded higher rates of pay, and when no settlement was reached by the dinner hour the passengers wero.foreed to prepare their own,,meals. Shoitly after dinner a settlement' wai reached and tho men resumed work. ' .
