ICY SPELL IN INDIA
CALCUTTA, January 23. The recent icy spell throughout India created havoc in tho cotton crops of the Gujarat district, Bombay. In many cases over 70 per cent, of the plants were destroyed, while in other Bombay districts there was widespread destruction to tobacco and fruit crops.
