Hislop) presided and presented Mr. Pritchard with a mantel clock and a parcel, the contents of which ho saia he did not know, and Mrs. Pritchard with a bouquet from, members of the committee and friends. In making the presentation his Worship said that community singing had been very successful in Wellington during the past four years, and had given pleasure to thousands while materially assisting tho Mayor's Fund for the relief of distress. Mr. Pritchard and other members of the committee had given indefatigable service, and now Mr. Pritchard was going to Gisborne for a well-earned rest. He asked Mr. and Mrs. Pritehard to take with them the best wishes and grateful thanks of all who had taken part in the numsrous community sings led by Mr. Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard replied in suitable terms, and then proceeded to lead tho large gathering in singing. Many Old favourites were sung, and a number_ of solos were enjoyed, assistance being given by Miss Iris Mason, Massrs. Will Mason, H. F. Wood, and Fiank Crowther. . The proceeds from the gathering will o-o to the Mayor's Relief Fund.
