HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the Lower Hutt Tennis Sub-association was held recently. It was decided to play the extra match (to have been played by the third and fourth grades on January 19 but postponed owing to wet weather) on February 9. The Wellington Lawn Tennis Association suggested the nomination of certain of the Hutt Valley ranked players for ' the' Wellington ranking ladder. It was decided to ask the clubs to contribute towards the expenses of any of their members nominated for the Wellington ranking ladder. ' _ The treasurer reported having received £7j out of £104 levied upon the clubs for affiliation and team fee. It was decided to urge clubs to meet their obligations. The bank balance was considered satisfactory. Several clubs reported favourably on the association's scheme for providing courts on ,the Hutt Park* and favoured the No, 1 plan for raising finance. Two clubs signified disapproval.
