Since 1932, when losses were common, there has been a recovery of £69,000. Three of the companies operating in Sydney are recording far better results than the-other four situated in Melbourne, for their earnings amount to an average of 6 per cent, on £1,050,000 of shareholders' funds employed, compared with a return of 3.8 per cent, on £880,000 invested in the Melbourne businesses.
