' The1 We-Hmgton Homing Pigeon Society concluded itg old-bird race programme with, a race from Three King*. The pigeons were .hipped from Auckland by the ».s. Jlonowai and were liberated at 8 s.m. on Saturday last by the master in the vicinity o£ Three Kings; • It was many years since a nice- had been attempted from this point and the .winner put up a, meritorious performance in Hying the distance in a iittle over 15% hours, , being nearly six hours ahead of. the next i arrivals. Captain A. 11, Duyey, of the Mouowai, kindly notiiied the liberation by j radiogram from his ship. The following was the rfsuilt of the race: Murphy and Sherwood's "Gold Plane," 13h 28mrit 30sce, >',' C. Haincs's "King Bnller," 21h 2Cmin 20sec, 2; J. Pcrrett'a "Miladi." 21 Ii 27mitt 3see, 3; jVlurphy and Sherwood's "Welcome," 23h 28min iSsdc, 4. The birds oil M«ssvs. Webster and Son and N. Bavnett also arrived at Wellington within the time limit. .
