HEAVY ROAD TRAFFIC
DRIVERS CAUTIONED
The'motor, .traffic on..the rOad at present is heavier than it has been for sOme considerable time, according! to the Automobile Association (Wellington). Motor camps, throughout tho North Island have been well patronised during the lrtst two or three days and everything points to "full bookings" over, Christmas. The most patronised camp has bec/n the one at Rotorua, and this has been closely, followed by Hastings, where cars have been arriving at" regular intervals.. Among the local camps, Otaki has been the most favoured.: There were as many cars there yesterday as there were throughout the Christmas period last year. Many more are expected to arrive today. Waikanae, also,, has had a fair share of motorist campers. . The local-Automobile Association deplores the large number of motoring accidents that have occurred in the Dominion during the past day or so, and requests motorists, in view of the exceptionally heavy traffic that is probable, to exercise still greater caution when on the road.
