ORIENTAL BAY BAND ROTUNDA

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Seeing what a splendid job the contractors have made of our Town Hall for the City Council and so beautifully pictured in tonight's''^Evening Post" (thanks to your photographer), might I suggest that- the City Council next pay it?'attention "to the' band rotunda at Oriental Bay, which I think with many others to be a disgrace to our most favourite esplanade?;We are shortly to have a visit from the; famous British Grenadier Guards Band. I take it that the band will be invited 'to give one open-air concert and 1 feel sure if approached would' no doubt be willing to do so in aid of some charitable, institution. Even if the band totunda was given a coat of ; paint it would nt least look better-than iffs: present •irab, dirty appearance.— l am/etc.," ■ -, ;■:■■■ > ■■•''■.'. A.P.
