LEVIN DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL
The annual garden fete organised by the staiE of Levin District High School was held yesterday in glorious weather. Assistance was rendered by members of the Levin Home and School Association, who had charge of one of the stalls. A. large number attended the function, which was held in the attractive school grounds. The Mayor of Levin (Mr. P. W. Goldsmith) officially opened the fete, other speakers being th<= chairman of the school committee (Mr. A. C. Kennerley) nnd the hendimster (Mr. B. G. TWI. As a result of the effort approximately £55 will be handed to the school committee, the gross, takines' being £70.
