MERCER STREET SITE
■ The' Mayor stated at last night's meeting of the City Council thatf he and Councillor AY. Appleton had' been interviewed by representatives of the Education Board, and the question of the purchase of the Mercer Street-AVake-field Street site from the board had been discussed.
It was decided to instruct the Town Clerk to inform the board that the council did not desire to repudiate the sale, but to suggest that the carrying out of the agreement remain in abeyance until nest financial year.
