The chairman of the Dominion headquarters of the Soldiers' Civil Reestablishment League, Inc. (Mr. J. R. Kirk), reports that 60 applications had been received for the position of senior employment officer under the league, applications for which closed on Friday. They came from all parts of New Zealand, and were from returned soldiers, many with creditable records in professional, commercial, and municipal life, and with considerable administrative experience. To give due consideration to the claims of each applicant would necessarily take some time, but a decision would be reached as soon as possible.
