Mr. A. Clark presided over the Hospital Cricket Club's annual general meeting, at which the report showed that the club enjoyed a very good season, being successful in winning the junior A grade championship. During the evening the chairman presented to E. Jeffrey the batting shield for the season 1933-34 (average of 95.6) and the bowling shield to W. 'Miles (average 10). Thanks were expressed to the donor of the shields. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Dr. T. Gray; president, Dr. J. U. Wiles; delegate to Wellington Cricket Association, Mr. W. B. Hicks.
