HOSPITAL CLUB
Mr. A. Clark presided over the Hospital Cricket Club's annual general meeting, at which the report showed that the club enjoyed a very good season, being successful in winning the junior A grade championship. During the evening the chairman presented to E. Jeffrey the batting shield for the season 1933-34 (average of 95.6) and the bowling shield to W. 'Miles (average 10). Thanks were expressed to the donor of the shields. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Dr. T. Gray; president, Dr. J. U. Williams; vice-presidents, Dr. Russell, Dr. Marshall, Dr. Kennedy, Messrs. •J. Owen, C. Russell, W. Skinner, T. Ryan, M. Quill, and Ilev. Harding; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. J. Bannin; management committee, Messrs. W. Skinner, H. Trewick, E. Jeffrey, J. Trewick, Chas. Morgan, and T. Trewick; auditor, Mr. J. Owen; scorer, Mr. W. Boyd; captain, T. Trewick; vice-captain, M. Wiles; delegate to Wellington Cricket Association, Mr. W. B. Hicks.
The opening date was left to the com' mittee.
