The finals of the Mid-Canterbury amateur boxing tournament resulted as follows:—
Heavyweight.—R. Hawke defeated W. Lister by default; light-heavyweight, Lister beat E. Parsons; welter, L. Towers beat J. Miller; lightweight, J. Kelly beat W. P.rcndergast; featherweight, S. Guthrio boat K. Kenncy by default; bantamweight, S. Guthrio beat K. Konney.
The boxing generally was of a high (standard.
