RESIGNS
NEW YORK, September 1
Hydo Park advices state that President Roosevelt has announced that he has accepted Mr. Lowis Douglas's resignation as Director of the Budget, and appointed Mr. Daniel 8011, a veteran Treasury employee, as acting director. It is learned that for months Mr. Douglas has boon dissatisfied with the vast expenditures under the New Deal, and has believed that balancing the Budget would bo a better aid to a return to prosperity.
