Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for August 24 being in parentheses:— Cotton: Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 7-lld a lb (7 12d); October delivery, 6.86 d alb (G.92d) Rubber: Para, 5 1-Sd a lb (5%d); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 7 5-8 daj Jute 3: September-October shipment, In-1 dian jute, Dundee quotation, £15 7s 6d ai ton (£ls 6s 3d). ■- 1 Copra: September - October shipment, South Sea, £7 I2s Gd a ton (£7 17s 6d); smoked,. £6 15s a ton{—); plantation Kabaul, £8 15s a ton [£S 17s 6d). Linseed oil: £22 a ton (£22 ss). Turpentine: 42s a cwt (41s 6d).
