BUOYANT FEILDING SALE

Abraham and-Williams, Ltd., report , on the'Feildiug sale held on Friday as under: A medium entry in all sections came i«ward to meet a buoyant sale with the exception of dairy stock. The quality in this department was not of a high standard A small entry of fat sheep came torward in this section, some extra prime ewes being submitted. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report a lighter entry of fat sheep at the Feilding sale. The price for wethers -was hardly maintained, but'best ewes met strong competition, with a rise on recent rates. Store sheep comprised a small penning of hoggets, one line of good two-tooth wethers, and a. pen of ewes and lambs. Competition in this section was buoyant and sales were made in favour of venders. The supply of beef cattle was again limited, and competition was 6trong with a firming tone. A' fair entry of run cattle was submitted to a large attendance of buyers and prices were very firm with a hardening tendency. Dairy cattle were well represented and a fair sale resulted for forward reliable sorts; backward, low-conditioned cows and heifers met a dull sale. CARTERTON SALE. ' "Wright, Stepheuson, and Co., Ltd., repott: We held our weekly sale at Carterton ou Friday, when a big yarding was offered to a large attendance. Dairy cattle were firmer than last week, and a total clearance was effected. Only a lew, fat sheep- were offered, but these were particularly . prime and met with keen competition.
