TE KUITI'S RACECOURSE
■As a p'reb'minary to the" winding-up of the TeKuiti.Racing Club a sale of portionsof the clubs-buildings, implements, and accessories was conducted on the course at Te Kamo last week. A large attendance of buyers was present and there was good competition, satisfactoryprices being realised. ■ ,■'•■;■ The grandstand was sold for £135 to the Otorohanga Sports Club, which also bought ■a considerable number of the posts and railings^ The building, it is understood, will be re-erected' at the -Island Reserve, Otorohanga. -,- ' ■ ' , Although it is a matter for regret that the Te Kuiti Racing Club, which lias been in existence for 25 years, has found it ■ necessary,to wind np, it is pleasing to note that the racecourse will not be lost to the district as a reserve, as the Te Kuiti Aero Club has made arrangements to purchase ■it.
