COLOSSAL STATUE

KING GEORGE AT NEW DELHI

A .statue representing King Georg* wearing the coronation robes which lie wore at Delhi in 1911, is to be erected at New Delhi by ruling princes and chiefs of India, as a mark their loyalty and attachment. The sculptor is Mr. C. S. Jagger, artist of the Eoyal Artillery Memorial at Hyde Park Corner. The total height of the pedestal and statue will be 53 feet 3 inches from, ground level and the figure of the King will be 18 feet 9 inches high. Mr. Jagger is now working on half and fullsize models which will be sent out to Now Delhi, where the actual carving in stone will bo done by Indian craftsmen.
