SWIMMING
BOYS' RECORD' LOWERED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 27.
The 440 yards junior boys' swimming record for New Zealand was lowered from omin.47 3-ssec to smin 47sec by A. Pascoe. a member of. the Waitemata Club, at the tepid baths this evening. The previous record was held by L. Olds, of Dunedin, who is now champion of California. Pascoe is 13 years old. The New Zealand Council will be asked to recognise the .new figures.
