HOTEL CECIL BLOCK
NEW CENTRAL SECTION
Demolitions preparatory to the erection of a new central section of tho Hotel Cecil have commenced. This section has a frontage to Lambton Quay of 72 feet by a depth of some 30 feet. The now building will be of two storeys only, a ground and first floor, but the foundations will provide for the erection of lour more floors, making six in all.
The tender of Mr. G. Tcmplcton has ■been accepted for the new section in reinforced concrete. The plans have been prepared by Mr. John Swan.
