Statistic, s of tho values of beef, lamb, mutiton, and pork exported from Australia in the year ended Juno 30, show a total 0f,5,807,000 pounds compared wiiih 4,706,000 for the year 1932----33. ' ' ' ' ■ " . '.;■■'
At Brisbane, addressing the Constitutional (anb, Mr. E. T. Crutchley, tho British Grovernment representative in Australia., asked people not to bo toopessimistic about the negotiations regarding .Britain's meat and dairy produce imports. Ho added that Britain's home agj icultural policy was dictated by the most pressing needs of the Old Country. Britain had 2,000,000 unemployed aiad the reinstatement of agriculture was the only way of dealing with tho problem.
