AUSTRALIANS' VISIT
A comploto list -of the playors comprising the Australian hockey team has been supplied to associations by the N.Z.H.A., and is as follows:—Goalkeepers, N. Watson (Q.), L. Beid (N.S.W.); backs, E. Eothwell, J. Elliott, K. LeLievre (all N.S.W.);. halves,* Ay J. Irvine, Allan Lee, E. Cullen, Albert Hayter (all N.S.W.); forwards, G. F. Milner (W.A.), J, Allen (S.A.), M. Stening, C. A. Loggett, K. A. Penman, P. Tester (all N.S.W.), G. Minto (Viet.). Mr. W. Eothwell (N.S.W.) will be manager of • the team, and Leo will bo captain. Two Australian hockey officials, Messrs. G. Milnev,, president of tho Western Australian Hockey Association, and 11. Flockart (Sydney), will accompany the team on. the tour.
Tho management- committee of the N.Z.H.A. is to bo congratulated on the complete information which has been suppliod to associations in regard to the detail's of the itinerary. Every stii.go of the tour is dealt with and tho arrangements should ensure a pleasant and not over-strenuous tour. In addition to the seventeen matches already arranged a game will bo played eitheron Tuesday, Soptember 18, or Thursday, September 20, but the arrange? ments will be left in abeyance until the Australian manager has been eonsuited on arrival at Auckland on August 17.
Messrs. W. A. Scott and H. J. Smith havo been appointed umpires for the match Australia v. Horowhcnua, at Otaki on Wednesday, August 22, and Messrs. H. J. Smith and W. Keys will control the Australia v. Wellington game, at Wellington on Thursday, August 23.
