ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
Tho Brooklyn Nursing Division recently lost its foundor and superintendent in Mrs. Miller, who left the district .to take up her residence in Eotorua.
The division, and a few friends, .ten-1 dcred a farewell social to Mrs. Miller at the Methodist Hall, Brooklyn, on the eve of her departure. Dr. Wright, tho divisional surgeon, was in the chair, and ■ Mrs. Waters, on behalf of the ' division, presented Mrs. Miller with a framed enlargement of a photograph of tho division membors, both nursing and cadet, suitably inscribed. A posy was also presented by a tiny grandchild of Mrs. Hines (one of the nioinbers). Mrs. Hodge, president of the League of. Mothers, Brooklyn, also pvesonted a posy to Mrs.. Miller, expressing at the same time ,the thanks of the league for many past services, and regrets that thoy were losing her osteomed help. Eecitations were given by Misses Hodge and- Moncrieff, and then merriment was supplied' by games and competitions. . The proceedings closed with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" and Mr. and Mrs. Miller left assured of tho many good wishes of all present.
