WEDDING

The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Mark's Church, of Adrienno, only daughter of Mrs. W. E. Smith, Wellington, to Eric Douglas Eex, only son of Mrs. K. Haynes, Wellington. The Eev. Eobertshawe officiated. Mr. Watkins presided at the prgan. Tho bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. N. Kitto, wore a gown of ivory satin, cut on slender lines, with graceful train and long-pointed sleeves. Her beautiful veil (lent by a friend) was of embroidered silk net, held in place by a circle^ of orango blossom. She carried a bouquet of Christmas roses, froesias, sweotpeas, and maidenhair fern. Her two bridesmaids, Misses Iris Allen and Amy Webb, woro charming frocks of angolskin lace and mariette in shados of salmon pink and pale lemon respectively, with picture hats of laco and straw to match, and carried bouquets of poppies and sweotpeas. Both wore gold bangles, tho gifts of the bridegroom. Tho two little flowergirls were Misses Gwendoline Webley and Beverley Tiernny. Thoy woro midnight blue'frillod silk net, with crinoline berets, and gold bangles, the gifts of the bridegroom, and carried posies of pastel shaded flowers. Mr. Bernard J Mclvor was best man, and Mr. Eoy Wattorson, groomsman.

Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Haynes. and Mrs.1 Webb (grandmother of the bride) re ceived the guests at tho Mokoin Hall, where the reception was held. Mrs Smith wore a Burgundy model frock with hat to match, and carried a bouquet cf cyclamen and anemones. Mrs. Haynes wore a smart frock ol electric bine maroeain and lace with a toque of blue, her bouquet being of autumn llowers. Mrs. Webb wore navy .blue marocaiu with hat to match, her bouquet being of autumn flowers. Later the .bride and bridegroom left ■for Christehurch, the bride weaving a smart brown costume with hat to nialch !iml :i fur .slolo (gift of the bridegrooni).
