BUTTER AND CHEESE

The Dairy Board's weekly London cablegram,, received today, shows the buter market to be unchanged. New Zealand, salted Ms to 83s per cwt, unsulted 84s to 90s. The price for salted equals OVicl per Ib, f.o.b. .New Zealand butter is selling at lOd per Ib retail; Danish at Js Id. The Imperial I'Juonoinic Connnittee's es'titiuitcd stocks of nil butters in store amount to 1,855,254 boxes, compared with 1,280,313 boxes last year. New Zealand in store is 777-5 tons, against 11.944 tuns at this "time last year.

New Zealand choose market is steady at 40s 0d to 50s for white and 4u's Od to 47s for coloured. Canadian ■white cheese is selling SSs to 00s and coloured 04s to oGs. English farmers' cheese commands 100s '. 104s per cwt. . New Zealand retail price for cheese is 7d. . The N.Z. Producers' Co-operativo Marketing Association is.advised from its London office today as follows:—Butter market steady. New Zealand, "finest 81s to S2s per cwt, first grade 79s to 80s. Danish, 105s. New Zealand cheese market is also steady. White 493 to 49s Cd -er cwt, coloured 4Gs to 40s (3d. A. H. Turnbuli and Co. Ltd., have received the following cable from their principals, Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., dated London, August 10: "Both markets steady. Butter, Danish 105s; New Zealand finest 82s to 83s; Kangaroo finest, 75s to 775. Cheese, New Zealand white 49s to 50s, New Zealand coloured 46s to 475." PRODUCE TO ARRIVE. A. H. Turnbuli and Co. report that estimated arrivals of New Zealand dairy produce in Mie United Kingdom during August, September, and October, compared with actual arrivals last year, as follows: — 3 mos., 1934. 3 mos., 1933. ' Butter .... 23,492 , 20.780. Cheese 17,412 15,270. THE STOCK POSITION. The Dairy Board has been advised by cablegram from its Londou office that at August 1 stocks of butter and cheese held in London and provinces were as follows: ' Aug. 1,1934. Aus 1,1033. Tons. Tons.
