LONDON, August 9.

In the singles of the bowling sec-1 tion at the Empire Games, Keys (New Zealand) lost to England's representative 8-21, and lost to Sprot (Scotland) 13-21. Sprot won the championship, being unbeaten throughout the games. Hills and Wright (England) retained the pairs title, "As in 1930, they were unbeaten. In the rinks New Zealand lost to England 16-28, and lost to Scotland 13-29. • England and Ireland are leading and meet in the final tomorrow. WRESTLING. In tho second series of tho lightweight' wrestling Garrard (Australia) beat North (England) in 133 seconds. The heavyweight, Knight (Australia) defeated Taylor (England) in 231 seconds. Knight, who is competing at his own expQnse, scored a convincing win. Further wrestling results are: — Lightweight final. —R. Garrard (Australia) defeated Thomas (Canada) on points in fifteen minutes. Heavyweight.—J. Knight (Australia) gains the championship by a substantial margin. Against A. Dudgeon (Scotland) he won with a fall in 6min 2osec. Dudgeon, whose weight is 20st, smiled • genially when the crowd dubbed him the "Loch Ness Monster." , Other title-winners are:—Bantamweight, E. Melrose (Scotland); featherweight, R. Mac Nab (Canada); welterweight, J.. Scheilmer (Canada); middleweight, T. Evans (Canada); light-heavyweight, W. Cubbin (South Africa). .
