SECOND EFFORT TO REACH \ BYRD FAILS
MONTREAL, August 9.
Radio advice- from Littlo America states that mechanical difficulties defeated tho soeond attempt to reach Admiral Byrd by tractor. Dr. Poultor's party was obliged to turn back 23 miles south of Little America at noon yesterday.
