PONEKE CLUB RACES

■ Tomorrow afternoon the Poneke Amateur Cycling Club is to hold a 33 miles open road race at Kilbirnie, starting from Salck Street at 2.15. Kiders from- the Hutt" Valley and Port Nicholson Cycling Clubs will be competing, and a good contest is . anticipated. The course will be three laps of. the Breaker Bay cutting route, which includes a good, stiff hill, metalled roads, and a small distance of good bitumen, surface. Although' iiot conducive to fast times; this course certainly provides a solid test of riding ability. While the senior, race is in progress the juniors are to race over a distance of 11 miles, one lap of the same course. A messenger boys' race is to be held also* Handicaps are as follows:— Senior: H.
