BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.
A most enjoyable evening was spent by a large audience of seamen and friends at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society last Wednesday. The opening chorus "La Cachucha" 'by the Troubadours was a pleasing item. The humorous sketches, "The Empire Film Co, Ltd.," >nd "The Photographer," ' werv thoroughly enjoyed. Vocal items were (ifiven by Mrs. Comparini,- Misses Monica Kelly, Irene Chipper, and Mr.;, Comparini, elocutionary by Misses N^ll O'Connor and Mary McCarthy, and dances by Misses Nola Stewart, Kosina Smither, Peggy Tovey, Dawn- Larsen, and. Miss Adeline Burnette. Duets were sung by Miss Chipper and Mr. Comparini, Misses Kelly and Chipper, and Mr. and Mrs. Comparini. Hems were also contributed by Pipev'Angus Graham ami' Master W. MvLecul (on the bagpipes). Misses Zoe "Miller, Katin and, Orauio Bnrnuo, and Mr. L. TliSfsins. At the conclusion, a vote of thanks was carried with acclamation and cVii'ri'.s, supper was s>ei'vod by tho wovki>i'k.. and Uiu evening was brought to a close with I Im f-inginii' nMhe Xati.onal Anllieni. ..
